how to get there By road, Woolacombe is just 45 miles from junction 27 on the M5. Just follow the A361 and then at South Molton either follow the signs through Blackmore Gate (A399) or go straight through Barnstaple on the A361 and towards Ilfracombe until Mullacott Cross.

parking at the beach (£1 - £5 all day depending on the season). There are several overfill car parks too. Car Parks are closed in the evening, all cars have to vacate the park or risk getting locked in. 2 hours free parking for the lucky ones on the road to Morthoe.

facilities town facilities adjacent to the beach. Several surf hire shops within a couple hundred yards of the beach with longboards, mini mals, foamies, bodyboards, wetsuits, boots, fins etc for hire by the day or half day. Most items are £4-5 per half day to hire, (discounted for a full day or week). Surf School can be arranged too. Plenty of ice cream vendors, cafes, etc etc. including the Red Barn a favourite for all. Bar is decorated with surf boards, food served all day - soups, meals, hot chocolate, treacle tart! Red Barn is at in best in the winter, when it is less busy!!
