Scotland January 2003

Whilst we were in Scotland this year we decided to try out a few extreme sports that are very new to the UK. We had intended going for some snow kiteing, but the wind outwitted us - it was either too weak to raise a kite or it was too strong that we probably could have flown ourselves back to Devon. So surf-wax is proud to introduce the little known activity known as rover-boarding.

The above images were taken using time lapse photography.
As you can see this sport involves either sitting or standing on a snowboard/sandboard and being pulled along by a landrover.
In addition to RoverBoarding we also took on the time established art of toboganning, whilst impersonating a pixie/gnome/budda sitting in a plastic saucer.


	This is the closest we came to snow-kiteing!
However we did get to fly a kite (our tiniest one) in some very beautiful landscapes
