Tarifa, Spain Tarifa is located on the southern coast of Spain,
between Gibraltar and Portugal. It is an hours drive from the
Costa del Sol so doesn't suffer from Kiss me Quick culture. ![]() It alway has been famous as a good windsurfing spot, but as kitesurfing is becoming more and more popular it is becoming well reknown for that too. Many competitions are held at Tarifa. There are many kitesurf shops in town, as well as schools etc.
how to get there from the UK Fly to Malaga (popular cheap charter airlines airport), pick up a rental car and drive through the Costa Del Sol, past Gibraltar onto Tarifa (2 hours). facilities loads of kite shops, schools, windsurf etc comments excellent location for experienced surfers, can be very windy, so check likely conditions before booking. Fantastic dunes too for those who sandboard |
