How to adapt a Snowboard for Sandboarding

As you can see, the sandboard has had a past life as a snowboard. We used mountainboard dimensions for strap placement. Once you have got yourself someone elses cast off snowboard, strip it of its snowboard bindings, recycle the straps and put to one side.

Locate the centre of the board, using the measurements above drill 4 holes for the new fixings. fit together nuts and bolts. Turn the board over and fill the holes with resin, and sand off to a smooth surface.

Here is a diagram of more conventional sandboard bindings. These straps are neoprene lined, similar to kitesurf or windsurf flexi-bindings, so are suitable for sandboarding barefoot, not something we get to do too often in the UK (dunes are to busy with families etc in the summer, weather is toe chillingly cold in the winter when the dunes are free to ride.)

We choose the mountain board approach to aid bi-directional sliding

If all of the above is just like to much work then why not buy a board from us.....
