This video shows another version of a top turn, the board is pointing directly down the wave, again to give a bit of time to the wave to catch up. To continue along the wave a bottom turn will be needed to prolong the ride. Once you are pointing towards the shore the ride is immediatley shortened, and your paddling back to the unbroken waves is lengthened.
